It is all about Texas Longhorns yet again. See, no matter what you say, you cannot deny the fact that Steve Sarkisian has managed to build up quite the roster. Up till 2021, the entire Longhorns run was a disaster. 5-7 just a few seasons back, and how are the boys on a massive 9-1 run? That’s a massive win for Steve Sarkisian. This is the second consecutive season the boys are on a 9-win run and just close enough to the playoffs. And if that wasn’t enough, with the growth and overall progress Sark had with Quinn Ewers on the offense, the Longhorns also managed to secure their first-ever conference title in 14 long years.

Now if that development doesn’t attract potential star recruits for the 2025 and 2026 class, then we don’t know what will. Back on X, Hook’em Headlines dropped 5 massive headlines for Sarkisian and his boys. “4-Star 2026 Loganville (GA) Grayson LB Anthony Davis Jr. checking in for his visit to Texas today for the Kentucky game,” Hook’em mentioned. That ain’t all. When the Longhorns hit the turf against a dangerous Kentucky team, 4 more potential Longhorns commits will be there as well.

5-Star OU OT commit Michael Fasusi is at Austin for his Texas visit. Followed by 4-Star Texas S commit Zelus Hicks, 5-Star Texas WR commit Jaime Ffrench, and finally 3-Star Texas CB commit Caleb Chester.

This is massive news for Sark and the plans he has for the 2025 and 2026 run. See, with this season almost over, we all know that Ewers will be leaving. Now, will it be a first draft pick, keeping in mind the tumbling performance the dude had mid-season? We don’t know.

But we do know one thing, even without Ewers on the frontline, Sark will still have Arch Manning leading the squad. We all know what that guy is capable of. However, while so many recruits are here at once, it is good news that Sarkisian still has to secure a win against Kentucky Wildcats, and this game will not be that easy.

Texas Longhorns vs Kentucky Wildcats

Folks do not take this Kentucky team lightly. They might be a one-conference win team, but remember, these are the same guys who managed to walk all over Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs. The game was too close for comfort for Smart and the Dawgs barely won with a 1-point difference.

Going into this, the Longhorns have the better roster, but this Wildcats team can make some solid plays out of nowhere. Sark once again has to fall back on Ewers and the Longhorns’ elite run game.

If they managed to pull a win on this, then the entire “who did Texas even beat to deserve the No.3 spot on CFP” debate will die down. We just gotta wait and watch how this entire thing unfolds.
