Once again, the Michigan Wolverines find themselves in a peculiar situation. However, this time it is not related to their performance in the game but rather their growing desperation to land the coveted five-star recruit. The Wolverines and their HC Sherrone Moore are going all-out to land Belleville’s No. 1 quarterback, Bryce Underwood. Unfortunately, it appears that Moore and his team are making no progress in convincing Bryce to join them. As with recent events unfolding, the young quarterback has made his intentions abundantly clear.
According to CBS Sports, the Wolverines have put together an NIL offer “closer to double” than the $5 million package that was offered to Bryce to flip his commitment from the LSU Tigers. But it looks like Bryce Underwood is not behind the money as he visits the LSU Tigers to face off against Bama. Today Sports Center confirmed this news on X saying, “No. 1 2025 player and LSU QB commit Bryce Underwood is on campus for Alabama-LSU 🔥”

Well, knowing the Michigan Wolverines quarterback struggle in the ongoing season, Sherrone Moore and his big move to gain Bryce Underwood’s commitment are quite evident. But convincing a player to choose Michigan over a program that produced a Heisman winner like Jayden Daniels is a tough sell. Moreover, Bryce Underwood seems to have a real connection with LSU’s offensive coordinator, Joe Sloan. And let’s face it, LSU’s offense is pretty darn good. That’s exactly what a young quarterback like Bryce needs to succeed right away.
On the other hand, it’s no secret that Michigan’s offense has been a weak point under Sherrone Moore. Right now they are averaging less than 20 points per game. Now you can understand why they have a very good chance to gain a talented recruit like Underwood. Even fans feel they have no luck in that.

Sherrone Moore’s Michigan in hot water
Bryce Underwood’s presence in LSU’s game made one thing very clear: he is not considering Michigan. Even this fan feels the same about Sherrone Moore and the team’s condition in getting him onboard, saying, “Lmao, good luck getting him Michigan.” It’s more bad luck, though. Well, considering the fact that Bryce is ranked as the No. 1 player in the entire country and also the No. 1 quarterback in the entire nation, he seems like the perfect flip target for Michigan. But Underwood attending game day for the Tigers is a clear indication of his firm stand with the team. Looks like Michigan really has to cry after this, as said by this fan: “Michigan fans cry.”
However, the worst part is Michigan Wolverines doesn’t have a single quarterback commitment for the class of 2025, and if Michigan fails to get Bryce Underwood on board, then no one can save them from long-term misery. This fan summarized the whole situation with a GIF that screams NOOOO!!! with full rage and anger with the caption—“Michigan fans seeing this.”

Fans might also let this slide, but Sherrone Moore and the team have to act on it quickly; otherwise, it’s going to be another bad year for them. Also, the amount of effort the team is putting in to get Bryce is evident in the NIL deals he has been offered, which have doubled from 5 to 10 million dollars. “Michigan just upped it to 10 m.” But if that only doesn’t work, then it’s all for nothing.
