Just like in ‘The Mighty Ducks,’ this former college football star is all about empowering the next generation of gridiron heroes. After hanging up his cleats, he’s traded in his helmet for a whistle and is now coaching at North Dakota State High School. This guy’s got a fire in his belly to pass on his knowledge and build a winning culture—not just on the field, but off it too. He’s ready to mold these young guns into champions, both in sports and in life.
As the saying goes, ‘The only limit to our realization of tomorrow is our doubts of today.’ Jaxton Lorenz, a retired college football player, is pushing past any doubts and taking on the head coach role at Stanley High School. His wealth of experience positions him perfectly to lead the Blue Jay football team toward a brighter tomorrow. Moreover, Lorenz focuses on player development, both on and off the field. It’s a new chapter for Blue Jay Football, and he’s ready to make it count!
No one is more excited than the coach himself, as Jaxson Lorenz hit X, saying, “I am extremely blessed and thankful to announce that I have been named the next head football coach at Stanley High School. I am super pumped for this opportunity and the future of Blue Jay Football!” Now Stanley High School is going to see a major shift in their standings this season.

Why Jaxton Lorenz? Well, it’s simple: he has real potential. He played wide receiver for Grand Forks Central, but COVID cut his sophomore year short. Still, he’s a versatile athlete with experience in both football and basketball from high school. While his stats might not scream “star” with 2 receptions and 13 receiving yards, the potential is there. Plus, he’s got plenty to prove. That’s exactly what the Blue Jays need: someone who’s willing to push the limits and go all in to turn things around.
Can Jaxton Lorenz finally break the Blue Jays’ slump?
Well, honestly, the Stanley High School football team’s season has been a roller coaster, winning three games but losing five. Moreover, that record makes it pretty clear why the team needed a change in leadership. Now it’s not that the team doesn’t have potential, but to get to a solid spot, a lot of work needs to be done. Just look at the overall record of 16-41; isn’t it safe to say the road ahead won’t be easy? The Blue Jays do have Jaxton Lorenz by their side. And only the right mindset and effort can result in a turnaround.
It’s evident that consistency has been a problem for the Blue Jays. After winning only two games in the past four seasons, the Stanley Blue Jays have finally clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2017 last year. Plus, this is only the second time in 15 years that the team has reached the postseason, a huge milestone for the program. Shocking, right? It’s been a tough road, but with Jaxton Lorenz on the team, it could be the start of something big!
There’s no denying that the Stanley Blue Jays are coming off back-to-back one-win seasons. But things are looking up with a fresh start. With their former head coach, Dave Leith, stepping out of the program, it’s a huge opportunity for Jaxton Lorenz to make a big impact. Taking over a program that’s struggling and making it win definitely shows the kind of leader you are. Remember Coach Prime and the Buffs’ remarkable season? Now Jaxton Lorenz’s biggest goal is to build participation and ensure the team has solid numbers every year. Looks like with his new leadership, it’s time for the Blue Jays to make a solid comeback!
