Gear up high school football fans; the Michigan High School playoffs are raging stakes with full power this season. In their recent game, Belleville High School secured a remarkable win of 42-7 against the Saline in the district finals on Friday night. However, the major highlight of their game was the presence of their quarterback and five-star recruit, Bryce Underwood, whose presence made the game much more interesting than expected.
On November 8th, the Click On Detroit show shared a glimpse of hundreds of fans gathered to see their favorite player, Bryce Underwood, playing. The host mentioned the excitement of the fans, saying, “Hundreds of Michigan Wolverines football fans are planning to attend Belleville High School to see number one recruit Bryce Underwood. Elijah Dotson and their [Belleville] Tigers take on the Saline Hornets in the Division One District Championship game.” For now, Bryce is an LSU Tiger. Given the love and hype he’s getting in high school, it’s crazy to think what he could do in college football.
Well, Bryce Underwood’s craze among the fans is quite evident, knowing the kind of gameplay he poses. As a sophomore, Bryce threw for 2751 yards with 37 touchdowns and added 642 rushing yards with 8 scores. Now you can understand why he is the No. 1 recruit for the class of 2025 and there is such a massive crowd visiting their game.

Moreover, the fans were also rooting for the 17-year-old QB to stay close to his home, saying, “Keep Bryce Underwood at home.” Looks like the Wolverines and Coach Sherrone Moore are on the same page as the fans.
Michigan rooting for Bryce Underwood
Well, we all know the Michigan Wolverines quarterback situation, which is the hot topic of this season. The uncertainty and weird experimentations with quarterbacks Alex Orji, Davis Warren, and Jack Turtle have made their condition worse in the run. Their struggle is very well visible in their game, as the team is standing on a 5-win, 4-loss streak in the season. All of this added up in their desperation to get Bryce Underwood into their team. Interestingly, the young quarterback has been offered a massive $5 million NIL deal to join the team. But for now, this lucrative amount couldn’t shake his commitment to the LSU Tigers.
Even if Bryce Underwood decides to switch his commitment to the Michigan Wolverines considering the home team factor, that would be nothing less than a stupid move. Leaving a Heisman-winning player’s (Jayden Daniels) team for one that’s struggling this season might not be the best move for Bryce’s career. However, for now, it will be interesting to see what else Michigan can do to get Underwood on board, as the team still doesn’t have a single quarterback committed to them for next year.
