Instead of dropping sneaky details about his lined-up visits, it was time for him to root for his high school at Carrollton High.

After all, Lewis’ alma mater emerged out to be their best version, crushing Douglas County to mere specks of dust. All thanks to Lewis and Co. for boosting their ranks to No.6. With this, it would pain a little more for the USC Trojans who have already got enough hints that they would soon lose their QB commit to Colorado Buffaloes.  

Julian Lewis celebrates Carrollton’s triumph

November 1 has been a big day for the high school fans. After all, it was the fight between two state championship contenders for a region championship. The Trojans are going for their 34th all-time region title. This season marked very special since the next time they would not be having their big-time college prospect Lewis around. Using the 5-star QB commit as the weapon on Friday evening, Carrollton was able to thrash the Tigers who tried their best to win the region title for the first time. And how could Lewis just let go of the big win? 

Right after the final whistle, he took to IG and reshared the post from MaxPreps that had a poster of Lewis himself with the caption, “No.6 Carrollton (GA) defeats Douglas County (GA) in 49-28 victory 👀.” It has been an absolute WIN-WIN situation for the QB. As Carrollton added the 49-28 impressive win to their resume, Lewis heads into the playoffs with a 35-3 career record. Not just that, the victory marks the high school’s first state title since 1998. And now the QB will be the one leading his high school. While Lincoln Riley was supposed to get a good night’s sleep learning about Lewis’ power-packed performance, he must be biting his nails off in regret knowing that the QB would soon don the black and gold jersey. 

Why Colorado can seal the deal with Julian Lewis? 

Maybe somewhere deep down Riley too knows that the Trojans will never be able to match up to Deion and the Buffs’ level in wooing Lewis. Colorado went to any extent to make their JuJu dream come true. From making their oldest fan Peggy Coppom root for him and melt Lewis’ heart to naming Boulder’s favorite burger ‘JuJu’s Precision Pass’ burger, the Buffs have done it all. And it’s not just about the efforts.

The position that Lewis will be filling up would be too hard for the 5-star QB commit to resist. After all, Shedeur has already handed him the keys now that the Deion’s son would be swapping wagons to the NFL. But no matter how short his stint has been in college football, these years in Colorado served him well. That’s evident from Shedeur’s NIL valuation.

He tops the chart holding a value of $6.2 million. This one reason is enough for the Buffs to lure Julian Lewis away, who had given his words to USC Trojans and had visited other programs like Indiana. Not just the son, father Deion Sanders’ power too would be a big reason to join hands with the Buffs. Chances are high that Lewis is going to get a son-like treatment from Coach Prime, who shares a special bond with his father T.C. Lewis.
