Is it fair to ridicule Mike Tyson for fighting at 58, or should we celebrate his legacy?

It’s tough to witness our iconic boxer aging! However, as the saying goes, age is just a number, and there’s no denying that fact after witnessing Mike Tyson, aka Iron Mike, display his exceptional fighting spirit against boxer Jake Paul in their recent showdown. Despite experiencing a medical condition called ulcer flare-up, Tyson refused to back down and fought until the very end. Nevertheless, the fact that a 58-year-old was fighting a 27-year-old became a subject of ridicule for him, more so from a football team.

Today, the San Diego High School football team took to X mocking the idea of Mike Tyson, who went up against Jake Paul on Friday and lost the fight. However, it took no time for the San Diego school to make their side clear, saying, “Reminds me of the @jakepaul vs. @MikeTyson exchange.” This was in the context of the tweet shared by a fan where wrestler Jacob Fatu’s unintentional move hurt a WWE official.

Well, a few months back, while making a jump into the sidelines of the ring, Jacob Fatu accidentally hit an official straight on her head, after which immediately Jacob was seen apologizing to her for his behavior. The video recently went viral, stirring up plenty of buzz online. But now, it’s gaining attention for another reason—San Diego High School claims something strikingly similar happened during the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul weigh-in. In fact, during the weigh-in on Thursday night, Tyson slapped Paul, allegedly because Paul accidentally stepped on his foot. And the drama didn’t stop there. Their heated pre-match exchanges set a fiery tone for the entire event, building anticipation like never before. However, what actually unfolded later was far from the spectacle fans expected.

San Diego School’s jab holds no value in Mike vs Jake fight

Well, a lot of people have perceived Mike Tyson’s and Jake Paul’s fight to turn into a difficult nut to crack for Tyson, which is evident knowing his age. You also can’t ignore the fact that he is regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. Even Jake Paul couldn’t stop himself from praising our legendary boxer, as after their game Jake called him his “G.O.A.T.” He even bowed down to Mike Tyson, showing his immense love and respect for him during the closing minutes of the game.
