Felix Ojo, a 4-star athlete, is riding high on confidence—and for good reason! He boldly stated on X, “I am undeniably one of the best tackles, if not THE best tackle in my class.” As one of the top recruits in the 2026 class, Ojo has set sky-high standards for himself, excelling at both rush and pass protection during his junior year at Lake Ridge High. But a snub? Yep. Ojo wasn’t thrilled when his name was missing from ESPN’s top 10 list, and let’s just say, the OT isn’t staying quiet about it!

With the caption, “The 2026 OT class is DEEP. These are the top 10 in the nation in the updated ESPN Jr. 300 💪.” The UC report published an assessment of ESPN’s Top-10 offensive tackles on November 30. The list included numerous well-known names, like Jackson Cantwell, Lamar Brown, Brysten Martinez, and others. Felix, however, was not listed, and Ojo responded by saying, “Not on the list is crazy 🤷🏾‍♂️.” Is it truly absurd that he wasn’t included in the Top 10? Did his performance rankings play a role in this absurdity?

According to 247 Sports, Felix Ojo moved up the national rankings from No. 173 to No. 59 overall. In addition, he is ranked as Texas’ eighth-best offensive tackle and seventh-best prospect overall for the 2026 class. However, is ranking the sole criterion used to assess his skill? But let’s not underestimate the OT’s confidence. Ojo’s highlight clips, which show him moving against defenders with ease, support this confidence. And one of his best qualities is his ability to nullify defensive ends. In the age of recruiting triumphs, do you know where this elite athlete will give his pledge to play collegiate football?

Felix Ojo is finding his fit

Programs will be vying for Felix Ojo’s services as he develops into a quality offensive line prospect. More than 30 prestigious universities have extended offers to him, including USC, Ohio State, Baylor, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma, SMU, and Oregon. As of now, On3 indicates that SMU is in first place for Ojo’s commitment, giving the team a 24.9% chance of securing the top OT.

The lone player remaining loyal to them is CB Victor Lincoln; thus, SMU hopes to assemble its 2026 class around elite recruits like Ojo. Other top offensive line prospects are also being considered by SMU, such as Dalton DeBoer and so on. Texas (12.7%), Alabama (10.5%), and Oklahoma (21.8%) will, however, present SMU with fierce competition for Ojo’s skills. Let’s see what happens when the high school playoff games are finally over.
