It all started when Ohio State made their move in January last year by extending their offer for him; this quickly grasped Devin Sanchez’s interest in the program. Plus, his first visit to Columbus in April cleared a lot of doubts for him and cut to next, Devin was playing in a multi-day camp at Ohio State in June.

All this added up to his interest in the team, and he even made his stance quite clear, saying, “From that moment, I just felt like I belonged here.” But this is not that moment when Ryan Day had him for sure.

Just after New Year’s Eve on January 6 this year, when Devin Sanchez made it official that he is going to stick with Ohio State, he reflected on his decision and gave credit for it to Bucks cornerback coach Tim Walton, saying, “The relationship I built with Coach Walton and seeing his track record, especially with guys like Denzel [Burke] and Davison [Igbinosun], gave me confidence he can develop me the same way.”
