The Buffs are making serious noise this holiday season, and it’s not just about game day prep. While Coach Prime’s squad gears up to bring their A-game for the Alamo Bowl matchup against BYU, some exciting moves are brewing behind the scenes, keeping fans hyped. But can Buffs Nation rally around the vision and make this Christmas truly unforgettable? Well, we have coveted 5-star QB Julian Lewis leading the charge here.

Stirring things up on X in classic Buffs style, JuJu Lewis’ recent post says it all: “Hey CU fans, we need a few more Christmas gifts!” Well, not so cryptic after all! The Buffs are eyeing some top-rated transfer portal athletes, and Lewis is rallying fans to make it happen. The stakes are literally higher, too—CU is offering a fanstake match of up to $100 to double down on transfer stakes. Talk about putting your money where your fandom is! So, who’s on the radar? Three names have already emerged, and these potential game-changers could be the key to locking down the Big 12 Championship.

First up, we have Kevin Concepcion, a 5’11” wide receiver from NC State, known for his versatility in both receiving and rushing. And this makes him a potential top-10 receiver in the country, and Colorado is hoping to land him. Then there’s Ethan O’Connor, a 6’1” ball-hawking cornerback from Washington State who’s already turned heads with four interceptions, including a game-winning pick-six this season. Now you know why they made it to the list. But wait, there’s one more person!

The Buffs aren’t stopping there. They’re also hot on the trail of South Florida star safety Tawfiq Byard, a freshman who’s already making waves. He has incredible instincts—he reads the game like a book and has a knack for picking off passes. He’s a perfect fit for Boulder, and he recently committed, citing the Buffs’ coaching staff, including DC Rob Livingston, as a major factor.

The Buffs have been incredibly active in the transfer portal since it opened, grabbing players like Jeheim Oatis, Liberty QB Kaidon Salter, Oklahoma CB Makari Vickers, and now Texas A&M offensive lineman Aki Ogunbiyi. It seems like they’re signing a new player every day! And why not?

With die-hard supporters like JuJu Lewis cheering them on, anything is possible for this team. And fans are already loving his gesture!

Buffs fans answer Julian Lewis’ Christmas wish list

We all know the kind of love and admiration Julian Lewis has for Deion Sanders and the Buffs. Even though uncertainties swirl around his QB position in the team after Kaidon Salter’s entry, there is no way that could hamper JuJu’s trust in Coach Prime. And his gesture shows it all.

Even fans can’t keep calm over Julian Lewis’s tweet as they say, “Yessir! This must have worked because Tawfiq just committed #UpTheSko” Yes, that’s right. Tawfiq Byard is coming off as a breakout player for the team with three more years of eligibility remaining. That’s some really crazy recruitment.

It’s hard for fans to ignore Julian Lewis actively promoting these recruits. One X user even shared a GIF that said, “That’s my quarterback!” after seeing Julian’s posts. It’s a bit surprising, considering the tricky situation with veteran QB Kaidon Salter joining the team and throwing a dent in the ‘freshman’ QB’s plans.

Coach Prime really showed him some love, giving him some practice time with Buffs QB1 Shedeur Sanders. And that’s enough to make him a big Prime Time fan. Now even JuJu’s fans are amazed by his gestures as they say, “Love this!!” Looks like Julian’s gesture is touching people’s hearts.

You’d think, with all the millions pouring into the program through NIL deals, the Buffs wouldn’t need fan donations. But it seems fans are happy to support their team, no matter what. The best part of this whole thing is that no fan seems surprised by Julian Lewis asking for support. They’re all fully on board, with comments like “Will do!” and offers to help in any way they can. With this kind of love and support from both players and fans, the Buffs are definitely poised for a big 2025 season.
