At this point, Jonathan Rizk is “rizk-ing” it all. Let’s get down and real about one thing: no matter what Deion Sanders does, people will still find a reason to hate this man. It’s been what? like a week, maybe? When we discussed the dumb accusations Jason Whitlock threw towards Deion Sanders. This man said that Coach Prime was using his son (Shedeur Sanders) as a ‘tool’ for personal gain. Can you believe this? “The motivation is pleasuring Deion’s ego,” was Whitlock’s magnum opus. This entire interaction just proves that people from the media just need one excuse to throw dirt over an HC who managed to do the impossible; took an “irrelevant” team to the Top 25 CFP team rankings.

Coming back to the current time, though, as we pointed out at the start, it’s Rizk who threw the dirt this time around. It’s Wednesday. It’s National Signing Day. So there had to be some outrageous takes, right? “Deion Sanders’ official statement on all his commits during National Signing Day,” Rizk wrote in the caption of his post on X. Now, the wildest part of this was the video he shared with the post. It was a clip from Coach Prime’s song “Must Be The Money”. All of this was a small jab towards all the players coming into Colorado. In simple terms, it “must be the money” making all of these guys commit to the Buffs.

Yeah, this entire narrative is just weird. Be it money or be it something else, people are flocking to the Buffs because this season Deion Sanders has managed to achieve the impossible. The 9-3 run will go down in history as one of Colorado’s best. It ain’t surprising why more guys want it. It doesn’t feel like a “Team” anymore. It’s a “Movement”.

Just back on Thanksgiving, Deion Sanders made the headlines when he managed to get commitments from 4 different players in just an hour. Quentin Gibson, Alexander McPherson, Carde Smith, and London Merritt, all announced their commitment to the Colorado Buffaloes.

Coach Prime managed to flip away Merritt from OSU and Smith from USC, and this alone should tell you that the 2025 roster is looking pretty good. With Shedeur and Travis Hunter leaving for the NFL, Deion will get a chance at starting with a clean slate and a pocket full of new talents. But to add the cherry on top of this already amazing cake would be the Juju signing.

What’s your perspective on:

Why does Deion Sanders face so much hate despite turning an 'irrelevant' team into a top contender?

Have an interesting take?

Top of the class for Coach Prime

We have talked about Julian Lewis before and how this dude is destined to change Colorado football. This guy is the perfect replacement for Shedeur Sanders, honestly? Deion Sanders made the perfect choice.

And on national signing day, we got the update from Rivals that Lewis has finally signed with the Buffs, locking him as their new QB for the 2025 season. Next year is going to be a wild ride for Colorado Buffs and Coach Prime fans. A life without Shedeur. A life without Travis Hunter. However, a life with Julian Lewis. Plenty to ponder. Plenty to look forward to.
