When it comes to finding his son and QB Shedeur Sanders’ replacement Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes are already leading in Mission JuJu. But at the back of the mind, Coach Prime must be equally concerned about who’s next after their dual-threat Travis Hunter who too would be joining Shedeur in the NFL. Looks like someone has caught their attention, a 4-star WR.
While Deion gets desperate to find the best replacement for Hunter, it won’t be an easy task since it calls in a rivalry with Clemson’s Dabo Swinney and Oregon’s Dan Lanning. And what if the Buffs HC loses out on the 4-star WR? It won’t hurt much for Deion as he has got a second option handy.
By now Colorado must have got tired of running after Julian Lewis. They tried every possible way to land the QB- from making 99-year-old Peggy Coppom come up with a heartfelt video to woo the USC Trojans 5-star QB commit to revamping the menu of the favorite burger joint in Lewis’ honor. Now it’s high time that they start scouting to finalize the one who would be filling Hunter’s shoes. A name has been doing rounds for some time now, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound senior Donovan Murph.

The Irno four-star WR has pared down his recruiting list to 12 power-4 schools. And what made him rise to the spotlight? Playing for the undefeated Yellow Jackets, in eight games, the WR has 55 receptions for 769 yards and 4 touchdowns. He had been quite a name after his stellar sophomore season in 2023 when he caught 57 passes for 1,084 yards and 17 touchdowns. But for so long he couldn’t be pursued since he belonged to the 2026 class. Now that Murph has reclassified to the 2025 class makes programs locking horns to land the WR.
Going by the fans’ comments in his post, Deion is very likely to face a strong contention from Lanning’s Ducks and Swinney’s Ducks. Not just them, Coach Prime will have to beat Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss Rebels, Billy Napier’s Florida Gators, and Ryan Day’s Ohio State Buckeyes as well. Knowing very well that it can be a tough call ahead, Deion has already hailed another Colorado freshman as the “next Travis Hunter.”

Deion Sanders comes with a big tease for who’s next after Travis Hunter
What’s your perspective on:
Can Deion Sanders outmaneuver rivals to secure the next Travis Hunter for Colorado Buffaloes?
Have an interesting take?
Kudos to Deion and his eyes for real talent. Not even for once did he panic very well knowing that two pillars of his program would soon be gone? Can you guess who was able to use his talents and come under Coach Prime’s radar? It’s none other than the three-star recruit out of high school powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Isaiah Hardge. Do you know that the WR has been committed to the Buffs even before Deion Sanders?
Yes, you read that right! Hardge has been a part of the Buffs program since April 2022. Now that Coach Prime has stepped into the HC role, looks like he has some big plans for the player. So much so, that he even dropped a threat for his rivals.

Lowkey flaunting the redshirt freshman, Deion Sanders stated, “You only thought we had Travis, He next.” As posted in the video Isaiah Hardge was spotted wearing a gray jersey. That was enough of a hint. Coach Prime then broke the big news, “Y’all don’t even understand what this grey jersey means… He’s a two-way player. You only thought we had Travis. He next.” Now if by chance Colorado lands Murph will they let go of the ideal two-way phenom Hardge? Let your opinion pour in!
