Is Deion Sanders' recruiting magic a game-changer for college football's power dynamics?

Well, Buffs head coach Deion Sanders was not wrong when he said he believes in building a program from “scratch.” The example is right in front of everyone. The team is standing on a 5-2 win-loss streak in the season even after suffering major setbacks. However, Coach Prime has already started planning his next year’s team outline; not only is he targeting strong players but also successfully flipping them. Let’s see which player is Prime Time’s recent target.

Today rivalsdotcom took to Instagram to share a recent update on Deion Sanders’ new flip target Christian Hudson, saying, “Deion Sanders and Colorado flip another Power 4 recruit 👏💪” Yes, you heard that right. Mainland’s four-star recruit and defensive lineman, Christian, recently gave his commitment to the Buffs. However, the shocking part is Hudson was already committed to the UCF Knights, and his sudden move to Colorado is alarming for Knight’s head coach Gus Malzahn.

Talking about his sudden tilt towards Deion Sanders and the Buffs, Christian Hudson said, “They are definitely building something special up there, and I want to be a part of that.” It looks like even Hudson couldn’t resist Coach Prime’s aura. But can’t blame him for that because of the strong team he has cultivated after last year’s 4-8 blowout.

Now that the Buffs are heading towards their next showdown against the Bearcats, Deion Sanders is not leaving any chance to attract more high-school recruits. But obviously in his classic Coach Prime style. Let’s see who are the players and the possible flip targets on his radar.

Is Deion Sanders' recruiting magic a game-changer for college football's power dynamics?

Have an interesting take?

Following the notion, Deion Sanders invited two young, budding high school players to watch their Saturday’s game against the Cincinnati Bearcats. First up on the list is Carrollton’s five-star recruit and quarterback Julian Lewis, who is going to visit Folsom Field, but that’s not the surprising part of the fact that Julian has already given a verbal commitment to the USC Trojans, and this step could be upsetting for head coach Lincoln Riley. Coach Prime is also going to host Mountain Vista’s offensive tackle, Nicholas McChesney.

In a recent interview, Sanders revealed his reason for calling high school players in their game, saying, “Winning does help with recruiting. People want to join something that’s successful.” Well, that’s true. Who doesn’t want to join a successful winning team? Now you can love it or hate it but Coach Prime likes to show off what his program can do for these young budding players. Moreover, we can infer he is confident of a win. Why else would he call these players to watch their upcoming game? It will be interesting to see if this move can make an impact on which college these boys end up choosing.
