A memorable win! In their last meeting, which took place in October 2023, Clarksville defeated Northeast 58-0, and everything went according to plan. Since Clarksville won’t have a home-field advantage this time, the rematch seemed to be a little more difficult for them. But see what transpired, they managed to get victory over Northeast this time as well, 50-7. However, a question still remains; Why is this victory memorable?
“With tonight’s victory Clarksville High School Football Coach @IsaacShelby picks up career win 100 and becomes the All-Time Wins Leader in CHS Football History!!” was the caption of a post that Clarksville Football made on its X account on November 1st, highlighting the significance of this victory. 100! Really amazing! However, if you are not aware, Shelby is starting his eleventh year as HC of CHS and his seventeenth overall. So, only 11 years with Clarksville. And this kind of achievement!

The most fascinating thing about this coach is—you know what? He graduated from Clarksville High School and then began his coaching career in the same location. It appears that he started and ended up in the same location. With their ninth straight-away victory from their previous season, Clarksville’s score now stands at 10-0 under Shelby’s direction. However, Northeast ended an eight-game home losing run that started last season with the win, improving their record to 1-9.
Yet, in what way did this victory reach Clarksville? To find out, keep an eye on their performance on Thursday.

Northeast and Clarksville have been tied 5-5 since October 2015, but that hasn’t lasted long. Safe to say, this season’s game has changed the entire scenario as Clarksville is undefeated this season. With 356 running yards by the end of the game, Clarksville was unstoppable on the ground. The squad has now carried for at least 176 rushing yards in nine straight games, so the impressive performance wasn’t unprecedented. On top of this, James Dalrymple, who averaged 8.2 yards per carry and ran for 148 yards and two touchdowns, was his usual outstanding self.

On the other hand, Northeast has dropped nine games in a row going into Friday’s game. However, they found solace in the fact that the losing streak is over. Because on Friday, they defeated Northwest in a close game, 21–3. You must thus think that football games have the power to alter his path at any point. However, since this year is gone, we need to wait and see if Northeast will maintain its winning streak the following year.
