Aaron Rodgers has defied the odds throughout his life and playing career. But after the injury he sustained against the Bills in the Week 1 game, many feared it was a career-ending injury. However, in just a few weeks, A-Rod is back on his feet and has thoroughly impressed one former punter for the Colts turned analyst.
Former QB for the Packers joined the Jets earlier this year in one of the most blockbuster off-season trades. The Jets are paying big bucks to this premier QB despite his age. But it shocked everyone when he tore his Achilles tendon with four snaps into the game. An injury like this usually takes 8-9 months to heal completely. Yet A-Rod has already ditched his crutches, overwhelming this fan-favorite ESPN analyst.

Recently the Jets social media team released a behind-the-scenes video of A-Rod walking around the locker room to have a chat with his teammates. This video brought Pat McAfee to state, “This is all he wanted to do, to show the boys that he’s still there.” McAfee and his hosts were blown away by this quick recovery time.
“I don’t think anybody’s ever seen this before,” said the punter, referring to the quickness of 4-time MVP’s recovery time. “They’re like defying all medicine I think with this particular Achilles rehab.”
On The Pat McAfee show, the host and co-hosts also discussed the possibility of A-Rod making a return this season. “My entire thoughts on Achilles and I think this has been everybody’s thoughts is like yeah, you’re not putting any weight on that thing for months. And here he is just Weeks Later walking and I’m thinking he’s still going to be able to get back this season.” But the Jets will have to manage their season first if they expect A-Rod to come back and have a fighting chance.
