Kicking things off, first on the list is the 1983 Hendrick Motorsports No. 5 Test Car, which is a 1/24 scale and will set fans back by a modest $93.95! The meticulously recreated Hendrick Motorsports test model features the iconic No. 5 on the side and also has the Blue City Chevrolet logo. Each die-cast features a functional hood and trunk, rolling Goodyear tires, foil door numbers, and a lot more!

Moving on to other offerings, those in the community looking for some fresh tees can add the Hendrick Motorsports Number 1 City Chevrolet Ivory T-Shirt to their list! Costing $32.95, the shirt posted on Team Hendrick’s story features a classic 80s design with Hendrick Motorsports and City Chevrolet, Charlotte, written with faded ink. Pairing the t-shirt with a gorgeous blue City Chevrolet New Era hat will also set fans back by approximately $30!

Not a big fan of blue and white? If darker colors are more likely to make you stand tall, HMS has got you covered on that front too! The City Chevrolet Black T-Shirt features a sleek Green City Chevrolet logo and takes inspiration from the team’s RaptorTough paint scheme for 2024. The shirt is available for $24.95 alongside a beautiful black and neon New Era hat, which costs $31.95!

The team is also honoring the Flames of Independence design once again with their retro City Chevrolet line, which features bright orange hues and a checkered flag for good measure! Last but not least, the 2019 No. 24 City Chevrolet Darlington Throwback Track Shirt tops off the list with a mind-boggling $318 price tag, which is still significantly lower than its MSRP of $424.

It looks like Hendrick Motorsports is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to giving their fans what they want, even if the livery reveal didn’t live up to the hype. However, when some of the teams’ icons were reflecting on the 2023 campaign, there was a lot left to be desired from next year.

Despite showering the fans with enticing goodies, Hendrick Motorsports failed to please Jeff Gordon

It’s no secret that 2023 was not the year Hendrick Motorsports expected they would have, especially with a lineup that includes the likes of William Byron and Chase Elliott. While two of their four cars did make it to the playoffs, the fact that Elliott had to sit out his first season from the championship round didn’t sit well with Jeff Gordon.

While Gordon believes it’s hard to not get excited by the prospect of two teams in Championship 4, the result at the end of the year for the team as a whole fell short of expectations. He dwelled on the highlights of the season before moving on to the issues: “They’ve had big seasons like they had in ’21. To see them grind it out this year and find their way to Phoenix (Raceway) to compete for a championship was exciting and great for the whole company to see.”

However, that’s where Jeff Gordon’s expectations fell short. He added, “At the same time, we came up short. That’s also a bit disappointing. I feel like Hendrick Motorsports thrives in those opportunities. I feel like we executed flawlessly in that Phoenix race, but we just didn’t have the speed. We got beat quite simply. We will be highly motivated through that experience for 2024.”
