A freshman safety for the USC Trojans, Suni Lee’s boyfriend Jaylin Smith is a star athlete himself. Currently, a student at the University of Southern California, Smith has already achieved quite a lot at a young age.

Smith played as a junior cornerback, wide receiver, and running back at Bishop Alemany High in Mission Hills, CA, before college.

Notably, Smith was part of Snoop Dogg’s popular documentary, “Coach Snoop”, which follows the life of several young athletes like Smith. Recently, he expressed how blessed he felt to be a part of the documentary and the number of opportunities it opened for him.

‘It was a blessing’: Jaylin Smith

The documentary followed Jaylin Smith and several other young athletes of his age, all of who were extremely talented. Notably, it captured Smith as he dealt with the passing of his mother, whilst also trying to maintain his form at the same time.

Smith recently revealed how lucky he was to be a part of that documentary and how it turned out to be a blessing. Coming from a small town, it was a big opportunity for him to go outside and travel the world at such a young age.

“Oh man, it was a blessing. A young kid from where I’m from, you never really get that opportunity to play at a high level,” said Smith.

Smith feels grateful to be a part of the documentary

Smith further revealed that the documentary allowed him to get exposed to a world he hadn’t seen before.

“For sure, I don’t know what I would be doing without them…they got me far. They exposed me to different, other people you know, other people seeing who I was…it helped me out tremendously in the long run,” said the young athlete.

Being a part of that journey not only helped him gain exposure but also benefitted his skills massively. Not only did Smith start envisioning a better future for himself, but he also went ahead and achieved the goals he had set for himself.
