We are closing in on the surprising 2020 and welcoming the holiday season. However, Christmas came early for Greece’s tennis professional Stefanos Tsitsipas as he already received his gift from PlayStation. After opening the package, the World No. 6 shared his experience on his social media handle.

Winner of the 2019 ATP Finals, Stefanos had a rather unconvincing season of tennis this year (26-14). His persistent leg edema caused him to miss out on leaving a mark in the 2020 ATP Tour.

But, the Japanese video game brand PlayStation concluded his challenging year on a happier note.

The Greek’s five-set battle against World No. 1 Novak Djokovic at the 2020 French Open semifinals showed his long-withstanding potential. Following that, his injury worsened but the highest-ranked Greek player did not cave in. Stefanos’ message highlighted that he’s back to being his best again.

Tsitsipas wrote, “PlayStation Greece got in touch with me few weeks ago and gave me as an early Christmas present, their new, supposedly better than ever PS5 (which looks like it was brought straight out of Mars).”

The Greek also claimed that he felt skeptical in the beginning and thought he had received an internet router. All that remains history now as he is jammed to the gaming box.

He added, “I haven’t been part of something so innovative since the Next Gen Finals in Milan. I played and played and played until I came to the realization that I was too good for this game.”

Recently, the Greek underwent recovery treatment to prepare for the 2021 reason; PlayStation will help to bring his spirits up.

A group-stage exit at the 2020 ATP Finals gave Stefanos more time to nurse his injury. He stayed back in London and received a Tecar therapy, and the results came about positive for him.

Now, with the all-new PlayStation 5 around him, the 22-year-old Greek will be boosted with energy. And with his overall feedback, the sales for the gaming console will rise in the market.
