Harry Potter fans were eagerly looking forward to a new rendition in the gaming world. Thankfully, the PlayStation 5 Showcase revealed good news for the wizarding fans. Rumors of the game hit the internet way back in 2018-2019. However, without much information, fans could not predict anything.

Hogwarts Legacy is being accepted by the community as a massive gesture. This not only unites fans who are gamers, but also core fans who love the lore. 

PlayStation plays a master stroke

The game will focus more on narrative and character development than anything else. For the graphical design part, PlayStation 5 mechanics will produce something extraordinary.

This came as a shock for Xbox users as the game is quite appealing to a considerable community section. It is not only going to have a tale of its own but also would answer several questions left behind by the books. 

While this intrigues players, it should be noted that a good knowledge about the wizarding world is necessary.

Players would be required to perform innovative feats of magic based entirely on their knowledge. This can only come true if they have a basic understanding of how magic works in the Harry Potter Universe.

Harry Potter fans excited for Hogwarts Legacy

Since it is a tale long before Lord Voldemort or Gellert Grindelwald, the story might revolve around an ancient magic source. 

Perhaps, the evil shown in the game would have a great significance over future developments, as seen in the movies and books. 

Fans all across the world are eagerly waiting for the release of Hogwarts Legacy.

WB has also officially announced that J.K. Rowling will not be associated with the franchise in any way. This is a rather controversial move, although numerous feel that it was necessary.

Especially after the recent fiasco. This also gives the game creative freedom to take a direction opposite to Rowling’s vision. 

Although, for any fan, the original plot and that which is weaved through Fantastic Beasts series is the traditional narrative. 

Newt Scamander or Harry Potter might not be in Hogwarts Legacy, but fans expect several clues and hints that relate to them. 

There are several who would claim that after the Fantastic Beasts movies, a follow-up TV series is necessary. This is the impact of Harry Potter on popular culture. However, a game will have to suffice for now.
