Halo: Infinite has been one of the most awaited titles of the year. The gameplay reveal at the Xbox Games Showcase event, however, turned out to be a colossal disappointment. Fans took to Twitter to voice their displeasure about how the game looks. Some been compared it to Halo: Reach, which came out 10 years ago. To be honest, the graphics were disappointing given that it headlines the for the Xbox Series X.

On the other hand, there have also been fans who have defended the game. They pointed out that Halo has always sported toy-ish graphics. Some pointed out that popular games like Fortnite and Valorant have cartoonish graphics too. Now we might want to hold back until the game actually drops because, firstly, the game promises the most ambitious campaign the Halo series, and secondly, devs still have time to develop the visual elements further and make full utilization of the powerful new console.

In terms of gameplay, there have been rumors about the game supporting a four-player split-screen in campaign co-op. Jerry Hook, the head of design at 343 Industries, posted a tweet today debunking this rumor.

Halo: Infinite will see the return of split-screen

In an interview with GamesRadar, the studio head of 343 Industries, Chris Lee, confirmed that Halo: Infinite will indeed support split-screen co-op campaign. Fans breathed a sigh of relief having previously been disappointed to see this feature missing in Halo 5. So the game will support a two-player Split-screen co-op campaign (or as we lovingly call it, ‘couch co-op’). As for the online co-op, it will support up to four players.

Now, this is something the fans liked. However, that does bring us to the question: will the PC version support split-screen as well?
