What will be different in this Halo edition?
The new enhanced performance and visual capabilities offer 12o frames per second with enhanced FOV support, as you venture through the world of Master Chief in the six-part compilation. The Xbox Series X variant pushes out 120 frames per second on any 4K resolution screen. As for the more affordable Series S, it will provide the same fps but it will be locked at 1080p resolution. Players can take advantage of the FOV support that would limit the frame rate to 60Hz but offers a FOV range of 70 to 120 degrees.
Note that the performance of the game will remain the same in both single-player and multiplayer experience.
Split-screen will run clean
As the world moves towards online multiplayer games, Microsoft has shown split-screen gaming some love. As observed, the latest Master Chief Collection comes equipped with performance enhancement for split-screen. It can now offer a steady 60fps, supporting up to 4 players at 4K resolution for Series X users.
The studio has also addressed all the performance issues of the game and removed any performance limiters that might hurt the output of some titles.

Microsoft has also listed out known issues that Series X/S players might come across
The studio has also added an army of features to the title to bring it up to speed. However, there is a certain build issue players might come across in certain areas. This issue will cause the game to drop the frames rapidly, along with causing the screen’s resolution to tear up.
However, they have also mentioned that having a display unit that comes equipped with Variant Refresh Rate (VRR) will solve the problem. Although, in case you don’t have VRR in your unit, it is advised to play the game on 60hz for a much cleaner and tidier experience.
