With all the news around in the gaming community, the speculations and anticipation regarding the upcoming title in the Halo franchise seem to have died out. Halo: Infinite had built up quite a hype for itself last year as the first release in the series since Halo 4 in 2012.

However, the first look of the game ended up disappointing fans quite a lot because of its visuals. But 343 Industries considered the complaints from the fans and postponed the release of the game to work on it further.

After months of radio silence on the matter, we finally have some more inside news about the upcoming title. On this month’s “Inside Infinite”, a recurring series that provides insights into the production of the game, the team working on Infinite answered some FAQs.

The panelists for this month are part of the game’s Sandbox Team. In order to explain what they do, they shared their vision, which is:

“WE CREATE WEAPONS, VEHICLES, PLAYER MECHANICS, AND SYSTEMS THAT ARE INTUITIVE AND REWARD PLAYER MASTERY.

WE RESPECT HALO’S LEGACY BY PARTNERING WITH OUR PLAYERS WITH THE SAME HONESTY AND INTEGRITY WE USE TO CRAFT OUR GAMEPLAY.”

The news of this addition came as a delightful surprise for everyone. While concluding their segment, the devs dropped this news. The Lead vehicle Designer for the game, Brian Berryhill, said,

…We are working on a new vehicle that is looking pretty hot. This new vehicle will sit nicely between the Warthog and the Scorpion in terms of power level, so it should ignite some new discussions on what vehicle to take to a mission. We just got our initial concept, which really lit a fire under the team to get it into flighting, so stay tuned!

Quinn DelHoyo of 343 industries, added, “One of my favourite sandbox items is a vehicle that we haven’t shown yet, but I’m sure I won’t be alone with my favouritism once we do reveal it to the community. This vehicle isn’t totally brand new, but it has received a fresh coat of paint while awaiting its triumphant return to Halo”.
