Simone Biles is probably the most famous gymnast on the planet. After withdrawing from the Olympics because of mental health issues, she came back to take part in the Balance Beam event and won the bronze medal. The victory came as an achievement for her considering the problems she had gone through. But Simone is back, happy and healthy. Speaking of healthy, Biles had an unexpected answer when asked about her eating habits.

Simone Biles reveals her favorite food
During an interview with a member of AthletaWell, Biles revealed her favorite food in the interview.
“We eat a lot of chicken and a lot of fish. He likes fancy restaurants, I like something quick.”
“But not quick junk?”

“Nothing wrong with quick junk I guess. If you can find quick healthy junk.”
Surely, junk-food for a gymnast like Biles is an anomaly, not the norm. But what does she eat on a regular day?

Biles’ workout and diet
Biles’ workout is incredible. She spoke about eating everything but moderately. Biles usually eats either oatmeal or fruit. After her workout, she loves to have her Core Power Protein Shake. On weekends, Biles dig into her favorite chocolate chips or cinnamon rolls.

While focusing on workout routines, a gymnast requires flexibility and core strength to perform well during competitions. After eating her breakfast which comprises Kellogg’s red berries or egg whites, Biles goes to the gym to practice from 9 am to 12 pm. Soon after, she grabs some chicken or fish and heads back to the gym after a break from 3 pm to 6 pm. Her workout routines last for six hours while focusing on different exercises.

The commitment and the sheer desire to focus on their craft demands respect. The ability to do it, again and again, speaks volumes about the determination of an athlete to become the best. Biles is an incredible gymnast and continues to develop her undoubted potential.
