Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola met with the press and had a frank talk about the possible departures of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Thomas Muller and also about Argentina winger Angel Di Maria.

When asked about the possible departure of 30 year old Schweinsteiger, who has been linked to Manchester United for quite a while, Guardiola said, “Of course I am planning to work with Basti next season, but he has managed a great career and it is his decision alone, where he wants to play next year”. Guardiola made it clear that Bayern will respect his decision whatever it is.

Next, Guardiola was asked to comment on Angel Di Maria’s performance at Copa America and whether Bayern has an interest in him. The winger has been putting up great performances for Argentina after having made a lacklusture start to his Manchester United career. He calmly replied, saying that he didn’t need to watch the tournament to know about Di maria’s class. “It sounds crazy to pay 80 million like Manchester United. But he has the talent”, Guardiola said.

Finally, he was questioned on the apparent rejection of a bid from Manchester United, for their star striker Thomas Muller. Guardiola tactfully asked them to question Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who is the chief executive director of Bayern Munich, regarding transfers.

It can be understood that the Spanish manager is keeping his cards close to his chest, and not revealing his plans.
