Brazilian side Gremio could be down and out with a two-punch knockout. The side could lose the services of Luis Suarez during the upcoming transfer window, which subsequently will put a massive dent in their finances. The club has done excellent business following Suarez’s arrival from Atletico Madrid. However, his time with the club could end soon, with El Pistolero interested in reuniting with his former teammate Lionel Messi.

MLS side Inter Miami is in pole position to secure the services of El Pistolero. The side is currently in touch with the striker and would love to sign him to a one-year deal with the option to extend. If Suarez joins Miami, he could be the third player who played for FC Barcelona alongside Lionel Messi to join the player at the MLS outfit.

Brazilian side Gremio could find themselves on the receiving end of a massive financial blow this year. The team signed Luis Suarez last year in December and has done a lot to capitalize on his arrival. According to reports from El Observador, Gremio achieved record sales during the first quarter of 2023, racking in $1.2 million.

The amount is more than twice what the side made during the entirety of the 2022 campaign in Suarez’s absence. Gremio, following the player’s arrival, has sold over 42,000 licensed products with the striker’s image on them. The line of products includes merchandise such as cups, key chains, dolls, caps, scarves, dolls, and even a hand that imitates the gesture with which Suárez celebrates his goals. The player was also the t-shirt top seller for the club, selling over 25,000 jerseys with his name and number.
