Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal are both legendary players of the game. Both have been part of All-Star Teams and have won several MVP awards. This duo continues to entertain us on the show, “Inside the NBA”. Their hijinks have given us the most laughs. Fans all around the world love and adore them for the entertainment they provide daily.

So accordingly, actresses Lynda Carter shared an old clip of them with her. In this clip, Carter is between both of these behemoths smiling. Both of these former players started to blush.

Chuck (as Barkley is lovingly known) said, “I am in heaven right now. Let me tell you something: I am going out on a limb but this is as close as I am going to get to heaven“. Carter, who played Wonder Woman on TV, laughed in response to Chuck’s statements. Shaq, thereafter started to sing the theme of the show to which Barkley responded by jokingly chiding the former.

Shaquille O’Neal and Chuck: Inside the Friendship

The duo of Barkley and Shaq have entertained the fans for almost a decade. Chuck joined “Inside the NBA” in 2000, just after his retirement. He was well known for making funny remarks and controversial statements even then. The addition of Shaquille O’Neal before the 2011-12 season boosted the show’s profile further. He, even, got his own segment called ” Shaqtin’ a Fool” which is famous for showing bloopers by NBA players.

The combine has been involved in one hijinks after the other. From shooting water guns to having a shirtless competition, they have done it all. Their banter is the reason for the show’s popularity. Ernie Johnson being the straight-faced host and Kenny Smith being the punching bag also help the show a lot.

How did Shaq and Chuck become friends?

Both Barkley and Shaq have had absolutely amazing NBA careers. Shaq has won four NBA rings and was a 3-time Finals MVP. Barkley won the league MVP in 1993 and was considered one of the best rebounders in the league.

Both were involved in a fight too during their playing days. During a 1999 game, the two men came together under the basket, Barkley bounced the basketball off O’Neal’s head. The then-Lakers center didn’t appreciate that, and, after a punch and a tackle, the two stars found themselves wrestling on the floor. Unsurprisingly, they were both ejected from the game.

It is very surprising now that they have buried their beef and have become friends again. Shaq has revealed that it was their moms who had resolved their differences with each other.
