The tournament purse this year stands at an eye-watering $1 million, which is the same as other tournaments this year. Similarly, the competition will be divided into two formats- Individual competition and Team Competition.
The three-day individual strokeplay competition will be held between 84 player fields with its conclusion on the final day after the team event is finalized and the field is cut to 60 and tied. The individual competition also gives points for the Race to Costa Del Sol and Rolex World Ranking and the reward is an amazing $75,000.
The team consists of a triad of professional golfers and an amateur. A total of 28 teams of 4 will fight for the top prize of $105,000 over the two days in Riyadh. A unique scoring system is used which allows an amateur to contribute to the final result of a professional tour event with a total prize fund of $1m.
