Greg Norman became the talk of the town when he broke his 25-year marriage to Laura Andrassy. The former golfer then tied the knot with the tennis pro-Chris Evert. The duo got married in a lavish ceremony in the Bahamas in June 2008. However, the marriage of the two did not last for a very long period.
Almost 15 months after the wedding, Norman and Evert parted ways, and it was the LIV Golf CEO who initiated the divorce. After the divorce in 2009, the two released a statement saying that they would remain friends even after their separation. A report in 2016 claimed that they were on better terms after the divorce than when married. It has been 14 years since the marriage was dissolved; are the two still friends?

The tennis great never really saw her divorce coming. She sat down for an interview with Woman’s Day Magazine and talked about the “hurt, anger and shame” that she felt after her divorce. She also claimed that she had “no idea it (divorce) was coming.” Her divorce caught her off-guard as she said, “It wasn’t talked about, ever.” Evert opened up about how she never thought that she would “end up like this.”
Moreover, a year later, Norman’s sister accused Evert of being “dominating and controlling” while talking to the Daily Mail and claimed it to be the reason behind the failed marriage. Even after all the fiasco, the representatives of the two said that “Chris and Greg will remain friends and supportive of one another’s family.”
However, the statement was far from reality. In an interview with News.com.au, the 18-time Grand Slam champion implied that she did not miss Norman, but his parents. “I also really miss Greg’s parents. The best part about him are his parents,” said Evert. Furthermore, in 2016, when rumors of Evert and Norman being on talking terms fired up, the 24-time PGA Tour winner called them “ridiculous and untrue.” 14 years after the split, the pair does not seem to be on speaking terms, as the relationship did not appear to end on a good note.
Another instance that highlights how Norman and Evert are not friendly anymore is that Evert reconnected with her other ex-husband, Mill, and not the Saudi League’s CEO.

In January 2022, Chris Evert revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage 1 ovarian cancer. She co-authored an article with ESPN and opened up about her battle with cancer. During that period, Andy Mill accompanied the tennis pro to the chemotherapies.
In January 2023, Evert eventually beat cancer. However, the cancer had once again entered her in recent days. Through the various therapies, it seemed that, with cancer, Mill’s support was there once again. The two chose to rekindle their friendship, and Mill started accompanying Evert to her chemotherapy as well.

A recent Instagram post displays Mill sitting beside Evert as she gets the treatment. However, in all these years, Norman and Evert have not been seen with each other. So, it would not be wrong to assume that Norman and Evert are not on speaking terms, after 14 years of divorce.
