It was hard to believe for the fans when he mentioned being only seven years old and witnessing GOAT, Ben Hogan’s 1953 Open Championship victory. A dream for many young golfers and enthusiasts, Cox was able to see it all with his own eyes. And it is unnecessary to mention how talented Hogan was as a golfer. And even though he had nine major championship wins in his name, the ‘53 Open was the only time he lifted the Claret Jug!
Cox also mentioned how he played golf with superstars like Serena Williams! And while giving out more details about it, he said, “Serena was interesting cause she doesn’t really like golf,” right before bursting into laughter. However, he also mentioned that the tennis legend slowly got a lot better at the game since “she had been practicing her swings”.

It was surprising both for the fans and Fallon that despite living right next to such a famous golf course, Cox never really tried his hands at the game. But his response to this question was epic! “That’s the reason why you’re not a golfer,” he stated. “When you’re next to the course, you see all these guys doing it and you go ‘f*** that! I’m not doing that”.
