Retired NHL player makes honest comments about Scottie Scheffler

American former professional ice hockey player, Ryan Whitney, was once counted among the best athletes in his field. With a huge fan base all over social media, the ex-professional is also highly identified for his bold remarks. However, this time, world no. 1, Scottie Scheffler, landed on his radar. And the fact that the golfer recently won one of the most prestigious tournaments in golf’s history made no difference to the hockey legend’s opinions!

He started off by praising the golfer for the outstanding skills that he displayed at TPC Sawgrass. Moreover, he was so impressed that he ended up calling the player a machine! “Scheffler is a machine. Just an incredible player. Seems to come from a great family. His dad told him “be a better person than a golfer”. Awesome stuff.”, he wrote.

However, before the fans could form a perspective about his statements, Whitney added a few more details about Scheffler“Having said all that, he is so boring. Does nothing for me. If he runs away with the masters again and ruins Sunday I’ll snap”, he concluded.

Honestly, that has been the perspective of numerous fans when it comes to Scheffler as a person. A recent PGA Tour Instagram post also involved several reactions from fans calling the player ‘boring’. However, that doesn’t change the fact that the player is extremely talented. Not to forget, keeping in mind his recent performance, there are high chances of him winning the Masters tournament as well!
