For what seems like eons now, the PGA Tour and LIV Golf have been at war. Despite it being less than a year since the controversy began, the feud between the two sides has garnered tons of attention. Everyone in the golf world has an opinion about the two sides. Recently, the American comedian Andrew Santino also voiced his views on the matter in a sit down with Joe Rogan.
With lawsuits on either side and constant banter between the two, the LIV and PGA rivalry seems never-ending. The golfers and fans, too, have been forced to pick sides in the battle.

Andrew Santino vents to Joe Rogan about the PGA Tour being traditional
Recently, the comedian appeared on the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’, where he was asked about his views on LIV Golf. “Love it,” Santino said. “Absolutely love it.” He then went on to explain that he understood that people loved “the preservation in the history of the PGA” and that he understood the tradition behind it, but to him, a lot of things about the Tour were “bullsh*t.”
Santino went on to rant about the tour shying away from the competition. He stated, “The PGA particularly is mad because they’re looking something in the face that’s threatening them.” The comedian went on to state that the tour would have reacted the same way regardless of who was on the other end. “They’re more mad about business interests,” he explained.

Santino loved the idea of a competing tours golf and stated, “Why do you need a monopoly of one league?” But despite being pro-LIV, he was certain that they could never outgrow the PGA Tour. He stated, “It’s not going to be bigger than the PGA, but it’s an alternative that’s fun.”
The comedian believed that LIV portrayed a more fun kind of golf that the younger generation would enjoy. In his opinion, the Saudi-backed tour represented fun and money. He also thought they wanted to change the perception of golf and appeal to “a new young market.”
