The 2020 Ryder Cup is underway at the Whistling Straits, with Team USA making a blistering start. The homegrown won three games from the Friday morning foursomes. However, they lost one to make it 3-1 at the end of the morning session as Team Europe looked under pressure from the word go.

Meanwhile, Team USA looked like a dominant force, as they had an electrifying atmosphere around them. Now, the teams will be moving into the afternoon four-ball session as both the captains have announced their pairings.
As of now, the weather forecast for the day looks decent. According to weather.com, fans might have to brace for a thunderstorm. Although, it is predicted to hit the course later in the evening. Hence, the winds might just come into play as the day progresses, so the afternoon players need to be wary of it.
Friday afternoon four-ball pairings for the 2020 Ryder Cup
Meanwhile, after the morning four-ball session, both captains Steve Stricker and Padraig Harrington have announced the Friday afternoon four-ball pairings. Here are the pairings and timings in CDT for the forthcoming session.
- Dustin Johnson/ Xander Schauffele VS Paul Casey/Bernd Wiesberger ( 12:10 p.m.)
- Bryson DeChambeau/Scottie Scheffler VS Jon Rahm/Tyrrell Hatton (12:26 p.m.)
- Tony Finau/Harris English VS Rory McIlroy/ Shane Lowry (12:42 p.m.)
- Justin Thomas/ Patrick Cantlay VS Tommy Fleetwood/ Viktor Hovland. (12: 58 p.m.)
Surely, Team USA will look to carry forward their morning session momentum into the afternoon session as well. However, Team Europe will aim to strike back hard this time and try to get as many points as possible.
Notably, the Americans’ skipper Steve Stricker has shown faith in Justin Thomas, even though he faced defeat in the morning foursome session. As far as the visitors are concerned, Team Europe needs to get their form back in this session and not allow Team USA to get ahead in this game.
