Every other year when the Ryder Cup arrives, 24 players have to leave aside their individual play and come together to represent their country. Not just players but fans join hands too, rooting for their teams together, to bring the cup home. This brings along tremendous support from everyone, including Vokey Design’s Aaron Dill, who customized special wedges for Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.

While Thomas qualified automatically, Spieth was the player chosen by US Captain Steve Stricker. Notably, Spieth is one of the most experienced Ryder Cuppers on the rather Rookie US team.

Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas receive something special before the Ryder Cup

Adding to the patriotic spirit of Team USA, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas received some customized wedges from Vokey Design’s Aaron Dill. Beautifully done, Spieth’s wedge had an eagle carved onto it, along with the words ‘SHAKE AND BAKE’ written alongside it, all in red, white, and blue, of course.

Thomas’ wedge had USA carved at the top, with ‘JT’ carved in blue, and ‘Radar’ carved beside it, in red and white as well. Dill’s work hit all the right spots, leaving fans ready to pay millions to get their hands on his piece of art.

Who exactly is Aaron Dill?

Dill, as per Vokey’s site, is the man behind every Vokey wedge on the Tour. Though he studied for careers in golf, he ended up making his name in club building and fitting. Their brand helps a player focus on what one needs, explaining wedge grind options and how it can help lower one’s score.

While Spieth is experienced, Thomas has also played one Ryder Cup himself, scoring 4-1-0 overall. Spieth, on the other hand, has played in three Ryder Cup editions and has an overall record of 7-5-2. This April, he won the Texas Open, which was his first win in years.
