While tee-shots are important, the right putter is pivotal to win a hole. As the sound of silence ahead of a shot mounts immeasurable pressure over the player, they need their perfect equipment to come to their aid. Every golfer has their own preferred brand, usually customized to suit their style perfectly. Team USA, ready to compete in the Ryder Cup, play with some of the best putters out there.

Daniel Berger, Patrick Cantlay, and Bryson DeChambeau’s putters at the Ryder Cup
Daniel Berger uses the TaylorMade Spider X Hydroblast, which costs almost $300. The putter has True Path Alignment that makes it easier to aim, while the technology used helps him gain stability. The brand has attempted to give the putter a sleeker frame while maintaining prominent composure.
Patrick Cantlay uses the Scotty Cameron Phantom X5, costing $429. This particular putter comes with milled 303 stainless steel, with aluminum and adjustable sole weights. As per reports, this putter is also better for golfers who have an ‘arched stroke.’
Bryson DeChambeau uses the SIK Pro C Armlock, which costs almost $500. Arm locking is not a new technique but is regarded well in the sport. One has to rest the putter shaft against the lead arm, securing the wrist. Once that’s done, the putter’s arc can be controlled by ‘bigger muscles‘.
Harris English, Tony Finau, Dustin Johnson, and Brooks Koepka’s putters at the Ryder Cup
Harris English uses the Ping Scottsdale Hohum.
Tony Finau uses the Ping Anser PLD putter. Finau had spoken about making some clutch putts, and how this putter gave him confidence, even with his grip.
According to reports, Dustin Johnson uses a limited edition TaylorMade Itsy Bitsy Spider putter (35.75 inches, 2.5° loft). “I’ll tinker a little, but I don’t really like to change putters. I might put mine in a time out for a couple of rounds, but I’ve putted with the same black Spider for the past five or six years,” Johnson said.
Brooks Koepka apparently uses the Scotty Cameron T10 Select Newport 2 prototype putter. It is a Tour-only variant that he uses and has often switched it out for other similar models by the brand.
Xander Schauffele, Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, and Justin Thomas
Xander Schauffele uses the Odyssey O-Works #7 CH Red putter.
Scotty Cameron Newport Super Rat I prototype is the putter Scottie Scheffler will be using.
Jordan Spieth uses the Scotty Cameron 009.
Justin Thomas will be playing with the Scotty Cameron Futura X 5.5 prototype, which comes with a SuperStroke Traxion Pistol GT Tour grip.
