‘You Can Tell He Doesn’t Play’: Golf Fans Absolutely Bash NFL Star Patrick Mahomes Despite Insane Shot

It’s not unusual to see players of other sports enjoying a good golf match every now and then. This is not limited to other sports players, but also celebrities. Some players even take part in golf competitions to show their prowess in the sport. This cross-sport is often respected by the fabs but not always loved. Recently, an NFL quarterback took to golf to show his love for the sport, but the fans did not seem to reciprocate it.

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, has been making the most of his off-season away from the gridiron playing golf, reminding everyone that he is still on a winning streak. With the Chief’s training camp only days away, Mahomes had kept himself busy at the Long Drive Competition, where he smashed a 317-yard carry drive to win the game.

After sweeping out three categories at the 2023 ESPY Awards which was less than 24 hours ago, he’s back making headlines. He won ‘Best NFL Player,’ ‘Best Male Athlete,’ and ‘Best Team’ along with his Chiefs teammates. Now, he decided to demonstrate his competitive spirit in the Long Drive golf competition. 

During the competition, Mahomes unleashed a powerful swing, showcasing his precision and athleticism. His cannon-like arm on the football field translated to the arm strength he displayed on the golf course. This amazed fellow competitors and fans in attendance.

The event happened just a day before Mahomes joined forces with Tight End Travis Kelce at the much-awaited 2023 American Century Championship, held at the picturesque Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nevada.

The future looks bright

After this amazing victory under his belt, Mahomes is now gearing up for the American Century Championship. This is a celebrity golf tournament held every year at Edgewood Tahoe. The event boasts a turnout of many A-list celebrities in both sports and entertainment fields. They all will compete for the championship title and the prize amount of $600,000. 

Last year, Mahomes came in at 51st place, while Kelce finished 66th at the Celebrity Gold Tournament. The duo now hopes to carry over their recent victory against Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry. Mahomes will team up once again with his Chiefs teammate Kelse for the tournament. They will face off against other big personalities, including other NFL champions, NBA superstars, and Hollywood stars.

However, fans of golf were not happy or, supportive of this. The comments under the post prove it.
