The golf world is full of stories that transpire on and off the course. Among these chronicles, if one features not one but two aces, then that is a worthy story. As follows, a couple found themselves in a similar position in 2015. Their extraordinary experience was witnessed and vouched for by many who were present around the duo.

The story gained so much popularity that it has once again surfaced on the internet. Thanks to the post by Golf Digest on Instagram, golf fans once more got to relive this chronicle through those who remembered the incident. Their reaction though hardly seemed to align with that of the onlookers.

It was back in May 2015 that a rather unbelievable story started to make the rounds at the Ledge Meadows Golf Course in Grand Ledge, Mich. This incident recently made a comeback on the Instagram page of GolfDigest. It included Tony Blundy and his wife Janet Blundy, a couple from Portland. It was at the 16th hole that the incredible achievement took place.

Tony was the first one to hit a hole-in-one, matching his wife’s total, according to Golf Digest. It was the husband’s first ace on the greens, which he hit from 135 yards out. Janet Blundy, following her spouse’s shot, had secured an ace herself as well. “You’re going to be really mad when I put mine in,” stated Janet before taking her position, hitting from 110 yards out.

With the news of the astonishing feat spreading around, the first speculation was if anyone had even witnessed the incident for verification purposes. Soon, there were several independent witnesses coming forward to verify the same. Tony Blundy, acknowledging the rarety of the shots, said, “If nobody would have been around, nobody would ever believe us.”

The occurrence even logically through mathematics is so unlikely to take place. The odds of a golfer getting an ace reach up to 12,500-to-1. They climb up to 1.3 million-to-1, in the case of two amateurs each achieving one in the common round as a foursome. It further surges to 26 million-to-1, in the scenario of two members. In the incident of the couple, these odds are just double the foursome odds.

As impressive as the feat was for the Blundy couple and everyone around them, fans seemed to hardly share their astonishment for the same. Their reactions inclined more toward on the authenticity of the episode.

A similar fate was faced by the Blundys, once their noteworthy achievement made a reappearance. Fans were quick to comment on how they felt about the occurrence, replying, “No they didn’t.” “Zero to none chances.” Another follower sarcastically wrote, “Riiiiight!”

One of the spectators jokingly commented on the source of the achievement, adding, “Source: TMB News (trust me bro).” Another one talked about the unlikely odds and wrote, “The odds are so astronomical to be not worth considering.”

With all the harsh comments coming in, there still were some followers who applauded the spectacular accomplishment. They commented, “Seems legit.” “She couldn’t let him have his glory alone could she. Lol.” Some even praised the couple together as a unit and replied, “Meant to be.” “goals.” What do you think of the rare achievement of the Blundy couple? Let us know in the comments below!
