Since taking her time off the course, Michelle Wie West has been venturing on different platforms on social media to keep up with her fans on the internet. One of them includes her podcast, named ‘Golf, Mostly’, where she chats about the sport and her life. The recent episode of the series featured Wie’s husband, Jonnie West, who revealed some unheard stories about the golfer.

Michelle Wie West’s husband exposes wife’s golf advice

Talking about golf advice and whether they are required at all, the women’s golfer’s husband claimed that Wie was a “mixed bag.” “You’re a mixed bag when it comes to golf,” he said, to which Wie disagreed, claiming she gave great golf advice.

But later, her husband recalled an incident from their early days together. “One of the first things that you ever told me about my golf swing. You told me not to do something,” he claimed.

“And then literally a month later, we were hitting balls together. And you told me to do that. I’m like, you literally have told me for the last month not to do this. And you’re like no, I never said that. And like uh, okay, yeah, you did,” Wie’s husband recalled, which left Wie defending herself.

When will Wie West return to competitive golf?

Since her last appearance on the golf course at the 2022 U.S. Open, Wie has left fans to speculate on her golf career. Once hailed as one of the most talented golfers in the circuit, she broke ground early in her career.

At merely 10 years old, she became the youngest player to qualify for a USGA amateur championship. She followed that feat by subsequently becoming the youngest winner of the U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links and the youngest to qualify for the LPGA Tour.

But Wie was prone to various injuries across her career, which made it difficult for her to showcase her talents. She succeeded in winning a major championship, though, at the 2014 U.S. Open, which she claimed was a dream come true for her.

Having started a family with the birth of her baby girl, it looks like Wie could soon hang her boots. But she has left the door ajar for a potential return to action at this year’s U.S. Open. Do you think Wie will return to the LPGA Tour? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
