Apart from his unreal achievements in the sport, Tiger Woods is also known for his calm personality. However, even a calm tiger is known to roar when it gets incensed.
We take a look back at a similar incident when the Hall of Famer lost his calm during the final days of his professional relationship with his long-time Caddie Steve Williams, who decided to caddie for another Masters winner.
Williams caddied for Tiger for more than a decade from 1999 to 2011. The duo saw some of the greatest feats of Woods in the sport together. However, being together for such a long period has its own drawbacks.

During their final days together in 2011, a rift grew among the duo. In his Autobiography Out of the Rough released in 2014, Steve Williams shared what unfolded between him and the 15-time Major winner.
Why was Tiger Woods furious with Steve Williams?
In the 2011 PGA Tour season, Woods missed plenty of tournaments during the mid-season due to lingering issues with his left leg.
He even ended up missing the US Open that year. Since Tiger was out of action, Australian golfer Adam Scott reached out to Woods’ caddie Steve Williams, to caddie for him during the US Open as well as AT&T National Tournament.
Though Williams liked the idea of caddying for Scott, he decided to get the permission of Tiger Woods first. But the Hall of Famer wasn’t very pleased with Williams. The Kiwi caddie wrote in the 19th chapter of his book that Woods told him, “If you caddy for Adam, that’s you and me finished”.

But for Williams caddying for Adam Scott during the 2011 AT&T National event at Aronimik Golf Club had a much bigger meaning. The caddie revealed in his book that his father-in-law alongside plenty of family members, would be in attendance at the Pennsylvania-based golf club.
Tiger’s former caddie further expressed his frustration in his book by writing, “If he couldn’t appreciate the fact that this had nothing to do with him – that I was caddying for Adam for one more tournament only, and for all the reasons I’d clearly laid out – then I wasn’t as close to him as I thought I was”.
Williams even claimed to write that Woods never considered him his friend. “He was not the friend I imagined him to be”. After all the confrontations between Woods and his long-time caddie, what happened later?
Woods’ caddie joins hands with Scott
After a heated conversation on the phone, Williams stuck to his word and caddied for Adam Scott at the 2011 AT&T National. That same year, the Kiwi caddie was sacked by Tiger. Nonetheless, he decided to become a caddie of Scott.
