Golf’s ‘Bad Boy’ John Daly is in a class by himself with his antics, style, and attitude. Daly knows how to pull off anything in his own style. Plus his passion for golf is unwavering and makes him one of the finest golfers out there. Despite facing health challenges, he is a living ode to the importance of perseverance and determination.

But Daly is also fortunate in other sense as well. He is one of those fortunate ones like Tiger Woods, who are seeing their children following in their footsteps with success. And this upcoming event is a grand opportunity for Daly Junior to make his famous father proud.

Following in his star father’s footsteps

From sharing the name with his golfer’s dad to sharing his love for the same sport, John Daly II is certainly on the right path. By the young age of six, Daly II began displaying his golfing prowess, and by the age of ten, he began competing in competitions.

The father-son duo has played in six PNC championships, and in 2021, they both together defeated Tiger Woods and his son Charlie Woods. Daly II used this opportunity to demonstrate to everyone his outstanding skills. Daly II is now playing collegiate golf at the University of Arkansas.

Between 1984 and 1987, the two-time Major champion Daly played for the Razorback. Junior Daly is competing in the annual Blessing Collegiate Invitation, which is being hosted by the Arkansas men’s golf team this week. In a video shared on Razorback’s official Instagram account, Daly II said with pride, “It’s always been one of my dreams to be a Razorback. My dad did when he was in college.” 

Junior Daly is second in the lineup, and the tournament will be telecast on the Golf Channel. One shouldn’t be surprised as junior Daly goes gaga over his father. Daly Senior is one of a kind, a unique spirit on all coutns.

Daly has a larger-than-life personality

After receiving a bladder cancer diagnosis in 2020, John Daly underwent surgery. He underwent a full knee replacement in 2022, as well as another procedure in December. He’s still recovering from his injuries and regaining movement. Daly also has issues with addiction and weight.

Despite his health difficulties, Daly goes on unbothered. He drinks and smokes and refuses to work out. Daly is also a tremendous music nut who loves Bob Dylan. He also put out two albums of his own. His first album “My Life” was released in 2002, while his second “I Only Know My Way” came out in 2010.

Recently, he also attended country music star Kenny Chesney’s concert during the 2023 Dick’s Sporting Goods Open in a unique way, which got everyone’s attention. These are the incidents that give Daly a larger-than-life personality.
