Will Xander Schauffele's new gear be the game-changer he needs for another major win?

A tremendous win and a legacy to be remembered! Xander Schauffele has won yet another major this season. Magnificent as it is, it took Schauffele quite an intense tussle against the wind this week. But when you recall Bryson DeChambeau complaining about his equipment for the same course situation, don’t you want to know what is inside Xander Schauffele’s bag, which ultimately won him his second major honor?

The 30-year-old golfer has been in collaboration with Callaway Golf since 2018 and hence uses their equipment only. He uses the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond (10.5 degrees) as his driver. It has the Mitsubishi Diamana PD 70 TX (45.5 inches) shaft and costs about $599.99, as per the official website of the brand. With its 14-gram weight, this driver lets the golfer reposition it without much hassle. Moreover, this AI-technology-infused equipment is also made after a thorough analysis of several other golf swings. This is ideal for players who wish to increase the speed of their golf balls.

His preferred 3-wood is Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond (16.5 degrees), again with a Mitsubishi shaft. For this, he particularly chose the Mitsubishi Diamana PD 80 TX shaft. It is priced at $349.99. Players who wish to have a consistent launch, as well as a neutral ball flight, usually choose this version of the fairway wood. Like any other Paradym Ai Smoke, it is also utilized upon investigations from actual swings and then incorporated with AI technology.

At the same time, the golfer has chosen the Mizuno MP-20 (3) and Callaway Apex TCB ’24 (4–10). While its below-average set starts only at $587.99, the average can be seen at $734.99 with an almost 50% discount. Along with these, he uses two different varieties of shafts. This includes True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue Mid X100 (3) and True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 (4–10). The Apex TCB has an extremely soft feel. It helps in achieving optimum ball flight as well as in their control. It also controls precision distances as per the golfer’s wishes.

When it comes to his wedges, the 152 Open Champion uses $50.99 worth of Callaway Opus (52-10S) and Titleist Vokey Design SM10 (56-10S @57, 60-04T), which is again priced at $189.00. He continues to show his love for the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 by using it for his wedges too. With its all-new Spin Gen Face Technology, the Callaway Opus is ideal for short games.

Last but not least, Xander Schauffele uses the Odyssey Toulon Design Las Vegas Prototype 7CH for his putter. This retails for only $349.99. Xander Schauffele is the only top tour pro currently carrying it in their bag and using it as their preferred putter. This putter claims to have a proven wing-backed double-bend mallet. Hence, it is for strokes with minimal arc and face rotation. His grip of choice for this is SuperStroke Zenergy Tour 2.0. Well, that was about Xander Schauffele’s golf equipment; now let’s move on to his apparel.

But what does the golfer choose to wear on the greens?

Xander Schauffele’s golf apparel

Xander Schauffele had signed a contract with the Japanese apparel brand Descente. This drastically changed his clothing at the beginning of the season. While all pieces of his apparel are marked with the Descente logo, there is, however, one exception: his shoes. The two-time major winner, Schauffele, has been wearing Adidas since 2018, and he continues to be seen with the three stripes on his feet. Yes, it is possible, along with his Descente contract.

That is because, along with Descente, Xander Schauffele is still sponsored by the German brand, Adidas. According to their official site, this is only for footwear. Among the shoes he has worn before, Xander Schauffele included the Adidas Tour360 Boost 24 Golf Shoe and the Adidas ZG21 golf shoes.
