Xander Schauffele broke multiple records after lifting the Claret Jug on Sunday. It’s the first time since 1982 that American golfers have swept through the four majors. Schauffele is also among the few golfers with more than one major in a single season. But how does this success translate to his bank account? Where does he stand on the money list?
The former San Diego Aztec earned $3.1M at the little-known Scottish seaport town of Troon. For the first major of his career, the 2024 PGA Championship, Schauffele pocketed $3.3M. These alone account for more than half the money he earned this season.
Schauffele has continued his impressive run since the start of the year, often going toe-to-toe with Scottie Scheffler. From his 18 appearances, the 30-year-old has bagged 12 top-10 finishes, including two runner-ups. This performance has put a whopping $9.4M in his pocket. A significant portion of this came from his T2 at THE PLAYERS ($1.89M) and his solo second at the Wells Fargo Championship ($2.16M).

Interestingly, the world no. 3 last missed a cut at the 2022 Masters. Since then, the two-time major winner has shown staggering consistency with 29 top-10 finishes. It’s little wonder that Schauffele has skyrocketed in the career money list. Currently, he stands 12th with $54.77M in career earnings. On top of this, Schauffele has endorsement deals with multiple big brands.
Exploring Xander Schauffele’s endorsement deals
The Jupiter resident made his mark quite early in his career. After a glittering stint at San Diego State University, Schauffele earned the Rookie of the Year award in 2017. Already a hotshot in his rookie year with two titles, bigwigs were knocking at his door. Callaway, the Carlsbad-based equipment giant, signed a multi-year agreement with him in 2018.

Furthermore, the two-time major winner signed an apparel deal with Japanese clothing brand Descente early this year. Interestingly, he still sports Adidas kicks even though he has ditched their golf t-shirts. In addition, Schauffele brands a few more logos on his bags, but there are no official confirmations of those partnerships yet.
Firstly, at the 2024 PGA Championship, the logo of the American real estate developer Discover Land Company was seen on his bag. Schauffele’s website doesn’t list them as a sponsor, however. Neither does the brand mention the nine-time PGA Tour winner as their ambassador.

It’s the same with AON. The British-American consulting firm was listed last year, but now it doesn’t show up on the sponsor list. However, there has been no word of a rumored split between the two. Details of these endorsement deals are not in the public domain. However, Prestige, an Asian lifestyle magazine, suggests it’s close to $1.5M a year.
Undoubtedly, Xander Schauffele is cruising to the top of the money list. One Tiger Woods still reigns supreme at the top with over $1B in career earnings. It’s a long way to go for the 30-year-old, but given the increasing prize money and his staggering run of form, it won’t be surprising if Schauffele one day crosses the $1B threshold.
