She is 19, yet her swashbuckling game and mentality is beyond her age. Thanking those who did not believe in her, Coco Gauff recently lifted the US Open trophy. And among the fans cheering for her, one belongs to the golf world. Paige Spiranac recently expressed her admiration for Gauff. As if swapping sports, Gauff and Spiranac find an intersecting point.

Burning as bright as ever, the tennis champ is the youngest American to achieve this feat since Serena Williams in 1999 at the age of 17. History is in the works because Coco clinched her maiden grand slam title. But a few moments after her famous victory, she swapped her racket with a club!

While Paige Spiranac is impressed with the accolades achieved by the 19-year-old, she also delved into her past to scout out the memories of her tennis days. And as if Coco Gauff was aware of this new fan joining the millions, she tried her luck with a game of golf.

The tennis champ took to her Instagram story and revealed her struggle with the game. From what it looked like, the star was in West Palm Beach, Florida, playing at the Drive Shack Golf Club. When trying to hit the ball with the club, Coco could only manage to dismount it. And the subsequent few attempts were in vain, as the ball did not budge from its place.

The person behind the camera reacted humorously and said, “That’s a tennis champ right there. That’s a [sic] athlete. There it is.” When Gauff was giving up, the same person said again, “You have to try a little bit.” Throughout the attempt, the tennis champ was laughing and enjoying herself. She also wrote in her story, “Gauff but can’t golf.”

The young Coco must have witnessed Serena Williams play at 17 and win the US Open Women’s Single title, but would have seldom imagined walking down the same path. By achieving this feat after a heavy loss at the French Open last year, this memorable win pushed her to shine as bright as ever.

All eyes are on Gauff after her maiden grand slam triumph, and among them is golf beauty Paige Spiranac, who went down memory lane to recall her own efforts with the racket.

Even golf mommy grew up with tennis around because her aunt used to play professionally. The relative would try to woo Spiranac into the world of tennis, but the ex-golfer stuck to her love and passion for golf.

However, Spiranac occasionally plays the sport. She always acknowledges her fellow athletes’ accolades and splendid gameplay. Since Coco Gauff was trying to practice golf, do you think Spiranac and the young champ should come together and play a game of both tennis and golf? Let us know in the comments below.
