The likes of Brooks Koepka, Michelle Wie West, and other stars of the golf world recently joined in the uproar that erupted when a tennis legend made a life-changing announcement!

Caroline Wozniacki has undoubtedly left her mark in tennis. Not only has she won a grand slam, but she has also won 330 singles matches throughout her career. In January 2020, however, she shocked everyone by announcing her retirement at the age of 29. Since then, her presence on the court has certainly been missed. But not anymore!

The world of tennis is going berserk right now with Wozniacki’s recent declaration. The former world no. 1 announced that she was making a comeback to the sport in her latest Instagram post. She stated that she had given her family her undivided attention for the previous three years, during which she welcomed two children into the world.

The 32-year-old believes that right now, nevertheless, is the ideal time to return to the court because doing so will inspire and teach her children that they can do anything at any age. “I still have goals I want to accomplish,” she stated. “I want to show my kids that you can pursue your dreams no matter your age or role. We decided as a family it’s time. I’m coming back to play and I can’t wait!”

Her announcement thrilled not only the tennis community but many prominent figures in the golf world as well, as they celebrated her announcement.

LPGA legend Michelle Wie West reposted Wozniacki’s post on her Instagram story and wrote: “She’s back!!! 👏👏” .

Jessica Korda also left a comment on Wozniacki’s post. She wrote, “Yaaaa 😍”.

One of golf’s most loved couples, Brooks Koepka and Jena Sims, also couldn’t resist themselves. While Koepka wrote, “Hell yeah!!! Let’s go! 💪” whereas Sims penned: ”Go mamaaaa 🔥”

Wozniacki’s first game would be the Canadian Open in Montreal in August. Golfers are excited to see her in full form once again. After all, she once had a strong connection with golf. Let’s find out!

Before marrying former NBA player David Lee, the tennis star was engaged to World No. 3 golfer Rory McIlroy. Both of them started dating in 2011. In 2014, they got engaged, but only a few months later they parted ways. Sources claim that McIlroy made the decision to discontinue their relationship due to it interfering with his game.

Beside her time with the Irishman, Wozniacki spent quite a bit of time on the golf course and still continues to do so. In 2021, she uploaded a video of herself playing golf in high heels.
