The LIV Golf and PGA Tour feud began last year in June. Since then, it has evolved into a war, with players on either side withholding their bitter feelings for each other. The biggest controversy that developed was about the Ryder Cup that is to be held in Rome this year. Many players feel that the LIV golfers shouldn’t be allowed to compete, but Matthew Fitzpatrick isn’t one of them. In a recent Ryder Cup discussion, he even backed up LIV Golf defector Sergio Garcia.

Fitzpatrick claimed that the only thing he cared about was winning. He said, “I’m not bothered, I just want to win, and I’m sure those boys do too.” He believes that Sergio Garcia, with his skill and experience, would make a vital addition to the European side. “Sergio would be the one that would stand out for me, particularly,” he stated.
