The former number one golfer, Tiger Woods, had to withdraw from the Hero World Challenge last year. Due to plantar fasciitis on his right foot, he could not walk enough to play golf. Therefore, he only focused on his hosting duties. Forwarding to PNC Championship in December last year, he played with his son Charlie. Fans were waiting for ‘The Match,’ he also played but could not win. Therefore, Woods has been going through a slump since his single-car accident in February 2021.

However, after the PNC Championship, he was in immense pain owing to his injured leg. Therefore, he took a break. However, he might return to play at The Genesis in February. For a long time, fans have been waiting to see Woods back in his form; the way he was in the 2000s. But will he make it to the event? Will he play? Only time will tell. The 15-times major championship winner will host the Genesis Invitational at The Riviera Country Club. World’s best golfers will compete at the prestigious event in Los Angeles from February 16-19. According to Jack Hirsh of GOLF, The Genesis Invitational was the goal event for him to return to the competitive games after the Hero World Challenge. He said, “Woods could reasonably choose to shut everything down again after the PNC until the Masters.” which was true. We have not seen the pro golfer on the golf course after the PNC Championship in December. But will he play at The Genesis Invitational, or will we wait for more? We have yet to find out.
