Few golfers in the game’s history have had as much of an impact as Phil Mickelson. He is undoubtedly one of the all-time great golfers. He excelled in the game in ways that many golfers can only imagine. His illustrious career includes 45 PGA Tour triumphs and six major tournament championships. In 2012, a four-time PGA Championship winner got into the Hall of Fame.

A 52-year-old golfer is now in the twilight of his career. Due to his advanced age, there is debate over how well he can still perform, but with his recent display of skill like at Augusta last month, and his most recent viral video, the Hall of Famer has silenced his haters!

Mickelson’s shot received mixed reactions from fans

A Mickelson fan account called Phil Mickelson Tracker recently posted a video of the golfer at LIV’s ongoing $25,000,000 Tulsa event on Twitter. In it, Lefty is seen taking a stunning shot and driving the ball into oblivion. Captioned, “Bomb’s away today in Tulsa,” the video soon went viral and has since garnered a lot of attention from fans!

His approach and flair undoubtedly attracted many, and he received compliments on his form and overall health. But there were some negative reactions as well. Let’s take a look at the reactions:

Fans loved how fit Phil was looking and how athletically he had driven the shot.

Fans even admired the pro for the incredible strike because they understood how difficult it was.

Because of the oblivious shot, users also went after the golf pro, calling his shot “worthless,” while another had some tips for the legend.

Regardless of what the fans had to say, one thing is certain. Lefty can still dish out some insane bombs on the course!

The PGA Championship in Oak Hills is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. Two years ago, Lefty beat Brooks Koepka to claim his sixth major win. With that victory, he also became the oldest major champion. Unfortunately, the golfer didn’t take to the field the following year to defend his title. But now he’s back!

According to the PGA Championship field list, 18 LIV Golf defectors are eligible to compete in the event. And of course, Mickelson, is on the list. Though the tension between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour is still high, fans are excited to see ‘Lefty’ on the field, try and regain his crown. It is certainly going to be a busy month for him as he goes on to prove that age is just a number.
