The golf world is ready for a swinging showdown at the AIG Women’s Open. The final women’s major championship is turning up the heat at the Walton Heath Old Course! The event is the ultimate golfing fiesta, where the LPGA and LET, including World No. 1 Nelly Korda, unite for one last major extravaganza.

Korda has not seen her best form recently, yet she has managed a fair amount of top-10 finishes at the majors this year. But while she looks for a win, her job will certainly not be made easy, especially with the ever-competitive 144-player field including the likes of big names like Lydia Ko and Charley Hull. However, even though she’s teeing off against the crème de la crème of golfing greatness, her words for her fellow competitors are as sweet as candy!

In a press conference on Wednesday, a day ahead of the final women’s major, Korda was told that Charley Hull was very complimentary of her as a player and a person in her press meet. Further, she was asked about her opinions on the English golfer, “especially as a home favorite.”

Nelly Korda, known to be sweet and courteous amongst all golfers, smiled and replied, “I love Charley; she’s so much fun to be around.” She also mentioned how he absolutely loves playing golf with Charley and has even played a couple of practice rounds alongside her.

Labeling their dynamic as friendly, she mentioned that Hull is a fast player and has an amazing, fun personality to be around. She also added, “Yeah, she’s going to be a fan favorite here, so we’ll have a lot of people cheering for her.”

Korda, moreover, did not shy away from praising Hull’s putting skill, despite Hull being her competitor. She said that the two-time LPGA winner’s putting was “ridiculous!”

In the same press conference, Korda also opened up about how much her game has been helped and improved by playing alongside golfers like Lydia Ko and Charley Hull, two of the best golfers today. She stated that a pro player’s game often saw highs and lows; however, through all this, having a good crowd around is always nice. “You want to perform your best for them as well as for yourself,” she claimed.

She further added that she has a really good group the next two days with “Lyds and Charley,” one that she is more than excited about. “They are both really nice girls that I’ve gotten to know over the years,” said Korda, voicing her excitement to be paired up with them. “They have really great personalities, so it will be light and fun.”
