The first two rounds of the ongoing Arnold Palmer Invitational have given us some enticing moments of golf. While the competition has provided the top-notch quality of golf, the banter too has been kept at the same proportionate. With Max Homa, Rory McIlroy, and Tyrell Hatton being put in the same group for the initial rounds, the joshing was running higher than the tension.

Though all three golfers are among the most talented golfers on the PGA Tour at the moment, none have managed to finish in the top 10 at the end of the second round. Hatton occupies the 33rd position, while word number three, McIlroy, is at the 20th position.

Homa, who’s already had two wins in the 2022-23 season, hopes to hop above the 10th position on the leaderboard as he currently stands at the 13th position. Despite the trio being far away from current leader, Kurt Kitayama’s 9-under-par score, a joke from Max on Instagram has lightened the mood of the golfers.

After a decent second round, all three men were snapped looking exhausted as Homa and Hatton removed their caps to take in some fresh air. However, Max posted the picture on his Instagram story, with a witty caption. “Take ur hat off if ur hairline is receding”, wrote the six-time PGA Tour winner.

While the Californian golfer poked a joke at the Englishman, McIlroy may have survived the troll since he has a better hairline than his fellow pair. After the gag, Homa then appreciated the duo for giving great company in the first two rounds at the Bay Hill Golf Course. He wrote, “Great group for the first 2 rounds”.
