Does Tommy Fleetwood still work with his wife, Clara?

When Fleetwood first met Clara, she came into his life as an agent. After they continued to work together, Fleetwood soon found himself drawn towards 56-year-old Clara. According to the Sun, Clara confessed how harsh she had been initially. She stated, “We’ve got a 23-year age difference. Of course, I turned him down. I was like ‘Don’t be stupid’.” But soon after, she gave in, and they eventually got married in 2017 in the Bahamas.

But both Fleetwood and she had doubts about whether they could have continued working together as a married couple. Hence, they gave themselves a six-month deadline. It was a crucial step for them to check whether they were cut out to blur the line between their careers and married life. Fleetwood once confessed, “When we knew we were going to be working together and married, we always said if we felt it wasn’t working, we’d do something else [and change manager], but gave it a go.”

Eventually, their 6-month period of testing yielded a success story. Clara revealed, “But I just for some reason at the beginning thought I couldn’t and I shouldn’t. Then we gave it six months, and it worked, so we carried on.”

Yes, things worked out perfectly for the couple! They now have an in-built office in their home, and just to keep things right in place, they do their work and talk in the office while keeping their personal lives out of it. Having three kids, they do need to give them some time instead of talking about work at all times. After knowing their professional side, you must want to know how Fleetwood is as a family man.

Fleetwood is the father of two stepchildren, Oscar, 17, and Mo, 16. But with Clara, he has another child, six-year-old Frankie, who often accompanies Fleetwood on the greens! Although many have a stereotypical idea of a stepfather, Fleetwood transcends all such prejudices. According to Mirror UK, Fleetwood shared a story on the podcast Fore Play about how he raises some eyebrows every time he says he is the father of a 17- and 16-year-old. He confessed, “So then, I’m like, well I’m not that old, so then I’ll have to explain that the first two are step-kids which, honestly, I don’t really, I never really think of them as step-kids. I’ve been around them a long time now.”

Sharing the same sense of Northern humor as well as having a similar upbringing, Clara and Tommy Fleetwood have a buzzing married life. With the children too, Fleetwood is extremely close. He said, “I think I’ve been a, I guess, a parental figure to Mo since he was five. I’m unbelievably lucky with our relationship. We’re so close. When the five of us are together that’s always our safe space and I hope we always keep that.” The whole family often hangs out together and has been spotted with Shane Lowry and his family too.
