Tiger Woods had considered quitting golf
If you are a fan of Tiger Woods, you must be well aware of the beautiful bond that the golfer shared with his late father. Earl Woods, who passed away in 2006, used to be a Green Beret. After his passing, the golfer became obsessed with the Navy SEALS in San Diego.

As per a story from 2016, Woods had previously considered quitting the game and enlisting. According to one of his friends, he wanted to break Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 major wins. If he had accomplished the feat, Woods would have allegedly gone on to chase something that truly held a special meaning to him.
Revealing the 15-time major winner’s aspirations to ESPN, the friend had said, “It was very, very serious. If he had had a hot two years and broken the record, he would have hung up his clubs and enlisted. No doubt.” Following the death of his father, Woods’ life has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. From greatly publicized incidents from his personal life to a life-altering accident, both the golfer’s personal and professional lives have received significant attention over the past couple of years.
