The PGA Championship was a huge success this year for several reasons. Not only did it create immense excitement among fans due to LIV Golf’s presence, but it also helped the Saudi pros regain their authority in major championships. And among these golfers, Bryson DeChambeau made a huge return to the top with his astonishing performance throughout the tournament.

However, despite being in the spotlight for days now, DeChambeau is currently in a situation he never wished for. As per a recent update, the upcoming LIV Golf might not go as well for the golf ‘hulk’. But why?

Things are not looking bright for DeChambeau’s LIV Golf Crushers GC

Bryson DeChambeau has been away from the limelight for a long time now. However, he made a solid comeback with his recent performance at the 2023 PGA Championship. The golf star managed to make his mark on the game once again with his epic T4 finish! Although he couldn’t make it to the title, fans were extremely happy to see the ‘golf scientist’ back in action.

Nonetheless, after having an absolute blast at the major, DeChambeau now faces a huge challenge for his upcoming LIV Golf DC event. As per reports, Paul Casey has withdrawn from the Crushers GC due to an unforeseen injury. And to replace him, Andy Ogletree is all set to take charge of his position. Not to forget, the golfer was dropped from the league after appearing in a single event in 2022.

But lucky for him, the 2019 US Amateur champion is now back on the team. Although there is no lack of talent when it comes to Ogletree’s golfing skills, Paul Casey’s absence is certainly going to affect the team’s performance.

However, DeChambeau has complete confidence in his new teammate’s abilities. “It’s kind of hard not to pick him,” the captain said. “I’m looking forward to some more good scores out of him. He’s a great kid, great player. I love having him on the team, and he’ll be a tremendous asset.”

Bryson DeChambeau provides real-time updates about Paul Casey’s condition

The news about Casey’s injury came as a shock to several golf fans around the world. However, it was an even bigger problem to deal with for DeChambeau and his other teammates. Luckily, the golf star was able to provide a relieving update about Casey’s condition and recovery. “He’s in a place where he’s recovering, and he’ll be good in a couple weeks he told me, so no issues with that,” DeChambeau revealed.
